[ DIY Sharing ] The Art Of Hair Coloring~Liese Bubble Hair Color

One more week to CNY! OMG...time really flies fast.. (Felt as if christmas was just yesterday. >///<) When i was a kid, i was always so looking forward to CNY..the reunion dinner, the food goodies.. new clothes and shoes to wear and of course collecting as many ang baos as i could XD but as you grew older, those feelings and anticipation seems to have disappeared. Anyone out there feeling the same?

There are just so many things to do before CNY but never seems to have enough time. XP Let's see..New clothes and shoes: Checked. New bag: Not bought yet. Spring cleaning: Checked. New haircut: Checked. New hair color?: Checked of course =P

Anyway, today's topic is about hair coloring. Now, talking about hair honestly i'm not really an expert on it even though i'm a makeup artist ( which means that i'm more into makeup rather than hair.) And just to clarify once again, i never had long hair in my entire life! and thats the absolute truth! Friends who had known me for a long time will know that i always had my hair short since i was a kid. I've been asked many times by guys and gals out there why don't i keep it long for the sake of being more feminine, (who say short hair gals are not feminine >///<)  more versatile in terms of styling and can do lots of things with long hair.

Well, the truth is long hair does not suit me at all. it doesn't compliment my face shape. (Yes..i know.. i never know till i try..) but i would say that i kinda understand my face structure well so i know that long hair doesn't suits me at all without even the need to try. Thus, one of the ways that short hair can be more versatile in styling is through hair color. ^_^

Ok. Back to topic.Where was I? oh yes, hair coloring..It may seems like a easy task but either is it too difficult to grasp.  I think the logic behind it is really all about finding the right color to suits your skin tone and personality. Ok..another thing i have to admit here is...that i had never had my hair been colored before in a hair salon! Yes, i know...pretty unbelivable..but i sometimes do think that i'm really more of a hands on DIY kinda person so naturally if possible i would prefer to do it myself. ( Main thing is also save $$$$  XD)

Having tried so many different hair coloring products out there in the market, from the traditional type where u have have to mix the coloring chemical together and applying with comb, (which i personally find a bit difficult to do on oneself) I have finally found the one brand which i really like and find it convinent.

Liese bubble hair coloring makes hair coloring really so much fun and more easier! Comes in 17 different shades from light to dark or ash grey shades. The fun part is you applied it like as if you are shampooing your hair as it comes in a bubble foam after mixing the chemical together. * It is NOT a shampoo though so you still have rinse it off throughly Ok?* Their new foam technology boosting the foam up to 4x creamier means that every single strand of your hair will be colored evenly and more long lasting and intense result.

However, when it comes to choosing the right shade, it really depends on individual and its really more of a trial and error honestly. The color charts are there just as a guide and color results may vary according to before coloring. Gals out there with sensitive scalp perharps more advisable to go for those natural organic less/chemical free type. (So far I do not have any major allergy or reaction to this.Been using for a couple of years now.) Advisable is to test a bit of the product on your skin for maybe 24 to 48 hrs before usage.

Having tried so many of their different shades, from the orange brown to light ash brown colors, in the end i still decided to come back to dark tones this time round as i realised that the lighter shades tends to make my skin looks even more yellowish and sallow.

This is the end result from after coloring with one of their shade call "Back Tea Brown" My hair feels smoother and more shiny. Dark shades do seems to make me look fairer in certain angle and lighting, =P thus was really glad that i came B2B (Back to black) XD this time round.

My usual practice is to cut my hair before i color which i think its much more easier and convinent.

I really love this new boyish pixie haircut that uncle Lawrence did for me this time round. Wondering what hairstyle to go next XD ( Wait till my hair is longer than decide ba..haha silly me XD)

Ok. Thats all for the hair sharing session. Am off to bed now..Sweet dreams everyone! ^o^
