[Beauty Hall Of Fame Part 2]: My 2013 & All Time Favourite Cosmetics Products

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend last week! =)

Last weekend for me was not so good. Had a serious accident at work that caused me to bumped my
lower back head and neck and my entire back. My whole body were crushed by a entire double
deck bed. There were no external injuries but I went to Raffles Hospital anyway to had a X-ray
done and I super regretted it. They did not scan my head (where I got hurt pretty bad) and I had to
went to Singapore General Hospital to get a blood test & CT scan done for my head as referred by
my family doctor and I had to be hospitalised for 8 hours under observation. It was really an
unfortunate incident and to be honest. I was really traumatised very badly. My CT scan results is
negative for blood clots, internal bleeding and bones fracture etc. (Thank god). Doctor said I was
very lucky to able to survive and walk away from this kind of accident. However, I am quite all
right. Will be resting at home for the next couple of days. Thank you everyone for the concern. =)

Nevertheless, despite this unfortunate incident. I am still alive and kicking. Thus, today I will be
sharing with you all some of my favourite cosmetics products from 2013 and some are my all time
 favourite. Starting with:

 1. Makeup Base & Primers
Loreal Paris Base Vagque Transforming Smoothing Primer.

This primer transformed into a velvety texture when applied onto the skin, helps to smooth out the skin texture and enlarged pores. easy to apply and spread out easily, helping foundation to last longer and better. One of my all time favourite. ^^
Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Primer.

I have only just bought this last year Nov/Dec as they just launched in Singapore in Nov and I'm
already totally in love with it. Very suitable for oily/combination skin, its smooth matte texture helps to refine large pores and fine lines giving you a shine free complexion with its sebum controlling
function. I usually apply this more on my T-zone area where its most oily and shiny. Pricing wise this is also very reasonable. ^_^ Check out my review on its other products here.

2. Foundation & Powder
Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion Foundation. SPF 50 PA +++

Among so many different foundations I have used, this is one of the most easiest and convenient foundation to use. Simply just pat the foundation on using the puff and in 30 seconds you can achieve a smooth and flawless base. Coverage wise I would say its light to medium yet its concealing and coverage power is very good as its able to cover my dark circles and redness around my nose area and any spots and marks on my skin. It is also refillable and affordable pricing. Two thumbs up! ^_^

Innisfree Mineral Water Foundation SPF 13 PA+

As I mentioned earlier, I only got in touch with this brand just last year yet I'm already loving their products. This lightweight water base foundation is so easy to blend yet provide superior coverage and you won't even feel like you are wearing any foundation. Definitely will go into one of my all time favourite list.
Very light and smooth texture.

Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder.

Besides their primer and foundation, I'm also loving their mineral loose powder. It has a very smooth texture and gives a smooth and matte look. it has very good shine and sebum controlling properties thus I always apply a light layer over my T-zone and side of the nose. Will definitely purchase again and again. =P

3. BB Cream
Za Total Hydration BB Cream UV & UV White.

My all time favourite BB cream. Especially the UV White that helps to brighten and whiten the complexion and yet providing enough conceal coverage with a SPF 50 PA +++ and doesn't dry out your skin at the same time. This one was already my 3rd tube. =) A multi tasking product that can save lots of time and $$. =P

4. Eyeshadows
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette.

I'm sure all makeup artist and makeup lovers will definitely know this brand. An all time classic range of earth tones and dark colours that can easily allow you to transform from natural day look to smoky eyes for the evening and any parties.

A wide range of beige and earth tone colours.

Too Cool For School Dual Eyeshadow.

A Korean hot cult brand that also hit local shores last year. Beside attractive packaging, Their practicality and multi function products had also win hands down. This dual eyeshadow can easily let
you create a simple natural look with its dual tone colours and open up the top, below is a light shimmering eye shadow base. I love to use this whenever I'm in a hurry =P or when I wanted a simple day look.

Etude House Sweet Recipe Cupcake Dual Eyeshadow

I have always love Etude House products for their sweet and lovely packaging. This limited edition dual eyeshadow is not only nice in packaging but the texture is also pretty smooth and the colours combination give your eye makeup a fun look and makes your eye makeup more pop and stands out.

5.Mascaras & Eyeliners
1028 Carribean Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara.

A affordable & reputable brand from Taiwan famous makeup artist Xiao Kai. Among so many different brand of mascaras, this is one of the most powerful and effective in terms of volume and lengthen. And pricing is very affordable. I got these online but now they are finally here in SaSa Singapore! =D and pricing is slightly more cheaper than online and best part is don't have to wait for delivery. Check out my review here.

I love to combine the two mascara for more dramatic look.

Maybelline Hyper Sharp Eyeliner

For single eyelids and small eyes like me, this eyeliner is definitely my saviour. With a 0.05mm tip, it can easily let you create the most sharp and define eyeliner. Very suitable for drawing a natural cat eye look.
Maybelline Lasting Drama Pen Gel Liner.

I'm sure most of you are familiar with Maybelline classic pot gel eyeliner. However, over the years I felt that Maybelline has really improve and outdone themselves. They have finally launched a pen gel liner for the sake and convenience for all ladies. Easily let you create a dramatic and bold cat eyes look anytime and anywhere without the trouble of using a eyeliner brush.  This is one of my all time favourite liner, already currently using my 3rd one. =)
Miss Hana Eyeliner

I only got to know this brand through Taiwanese bloggers. I had never use their products before so when I saw the rave among the Taiwanese, I decided to give it a try and I had never regretted it. available in several colours, Very intense colour, smooth and easy to draw and most important is its totally waterproof and smudgeproof! However, this is not available in Singapore. I managed to got these through online and was glad that it arrived safely to me. I bought a black and brown colour and I'm almost finish with the black. Time to do some online shopping again. XD
Basically that's about all. For blusher and lipstick I don't really have any favourite particular brand yet as I usually buy depending on what kind of colours I'm looking for. If I manage to find any brand or range that's good to use, I shall share with you all again ya? ;)

Hope you all enjoy today little sharing session.

Have a great week ahead! ^o~

[Beauty Hall Of Fame]: My 2013 Personal Favourite Skincare Products

  Hi everyone! Happy 2014!! =D

Gosh.... time really flies.. another year gone just like that.. and I really couldn't help thinking.. I'm
one more year older... sob sob...=(

2013 has been a rather great year for me. I made new friends.. caught up with old friends.. rekindle
old friendship and working relationship.. and I'm still continuing what I love to do which is being a
makeup artist and of course sharing with you all my beauty secrets and bits and pieces of my life.^^

Last year Christmas and new year was a rather quiet one for me. I caught up with my old friend Edmund who recently just got back home from Shanghai after living and working there for 3 years! we went for dinner and then strolling along Orchard road admiring the Christmas decors and he was amazed at how much Singapore has change for the past 3 years while he was gone. But he did not have a great start to the new year as he recently fell and injured his hand while at his friend house during new year. =(  Hope you get well soon Edmund! ^_^

New year I went shopping with my gal friend and then together with my sis we went over to our cousin place for steamboat and countdown together. The feeling of just the few of us hanging out
together and sleeping over at her house was great as this was the first time that we actually did that. Hopefully there will be more hanging out sessions like this in the future. ^_^

Today I will be sharing with you all what are some of my favourite or rather effective skincare products that I have been using all year round from last year. =)

My skin type is combination skin, with occasional dryness on both cheeks and occasional breakout during.......ahem... ( that time of the month... *shy..... @_@) I also have "natural" dark circles which I have been battling for years since I was a teenager.

1st. Makeup Remover

Bioderma cleansing water. Suitable for all skin types especially sensitive skin. Its strong cleansing power removes makeup effectively yet doesn't irritate the skin. Can be use for face and eyes and its oil and fragrance free. I have use before many other types of cleansing water or makeup remover yet I still find this to be the most suitable and gentle on the skin.

I often came across many gals telling me that their foundation clog their pores etc thus they don't dare to use or apply makeup. I would hereby like to emphasis again. "Wrong! foundation or makeup does NOT clog your pores UNLESS you did not remove your makeup properly and thoroughly." therefore, the first essential step to your skincare is definitely removing makeup. Never ever zzzz with them on!

2nd. Cleanser

Vichy Normaderm 3-In-1. This is by far one of the best and time and cost saving cleanser I have used which can be fit into my busy schedule. It can be use as a cleanser, a leave on mask and a exfoliating scrub. Suitable for most skin type especially sensitive and acne prone skin. It doesn't contain soap, alcohol and its paraben free. As I mentioned earlier on, I have combination skin and occasional breakouts, I used this as a leave on mask on my T-zone twice a week for about 5 mins and rinse off.
It helps matify and clarify my complexion. The exfoliate beads inside helps to unclog pores and the cleansing cream texture helps reduces sebum on my oily T-zone and other impurities. Price wise also very reasonable. $33 for 125ml. ^^

3th. Toner
Loreal Hydrafresh Mask-In-Lotion. This new product was launched by Loreal just last year. Yet among so many Loreal products I have used, this is by far one of the best one. Again it is a multi function product which can be use as a toner and essence, also contain grape seed extract that can helps hydrates our skin. As I zzz in air con room every night, thus hydrating is essential for me too. when you have well hydrate skin, you can easily continue other regime like anti aging and whitening etc. Simply just apply with fingers all over face and neck after cleansing.

4th. Eyecare

Eyliplex-2 by Goodskin Lab. Among so many different types of eye cream products, this is really the best and most effective one I have used. It worked extremely well for my fine lines and dark circles. Divided into two pots, the green one is for morning usage which helps to lift, firm and reduce fine lines around the eyes. The white colour is for night use which help to reduce dark circles and puffiness. My dark circles and fine lines reduce drastically after using for around 3 weeks. This is definitely one of the product that I will purchase and continue use again.

5th Serum Booster
Loreal Youth Code Pre Essence. A serum booster that I will use before my serum and moisturiser. Very smooth texture and helps to boost the effectiveness of your other skincare products. This is already my 3rd bottle I think.. @_@

6th Serum
I only got into contact with Kiehls products just last year. Of course before that heard many reviews about them and thus decided to give it a try. I was looking for a anti aging and brightening serum at that time and was recommended this which I thus find it to be rather effective. Very nice and comfortable texture and brighten up my complexion with its pure vitamin C ingredient. My skin also feels smoother and less rough.

7th Moisturiser

Sothys Paris Energizing night cream. Got these for free when I attended their launch event last year. ^^ check out my review here.
 http://snowy84.blogspot.sg/2013/11/skincare-product-event-give-your-skin.html

Bio-essence face lifting cream. Helps to lift, sculpt and firm the face. One of the effective firming cream I have used. Face shape becomes more sharp and defined too. =)
http://snowy84.blogspot.sg/2013/10/skincare-product-review-get-firm-v.html

8th. Mask

Kose Clear Whitening Mask. I only started using just last year and I'm totally in love with it. I'm sure many gals out there are familiar with this. A leave on peeling mask that helps to removes black and whiteheads, dirt and impurities and unclog pores. I use this once or twice a week whenever I feel that my skin needs a "Spring cleaning" XD

Basically these are some of my favourite skincare products and my routine for day and night. Though now I'm trying to incorporating some other products into my regime but for overall these are my basic. Unlike makeup where you make a mistake you can simply remove it, skincare is really more of a trial and error process You have to know your skin type well and what are the conditions or areas that you would like to improve or the effect that you would like to achieve and then from there you work on it.

Ok. That's all for today. Hope you all enjoy my little sharing. ^o~
