[ Makeup Tutorial ] Oz The Great & Powerful Glinda The Good Witch ♥ Urban Decay Limited Edition Eyeshadow Palette

Welcome to the land of magical and enchanted! XD

Frankly speaking, I have not watch this movie yet. xP due to lack of time and companions.
(I don't really like the idea of watching movie alone) Well, I guess I shall have to wait for the
   DVD to launch then.
Though I have not watch the movie yet, but some of the main characters do somehow captured
my attention. And one of them will be Glinda The Good Witch starring Michelle Williams.
Glinda The Good Witch is the most powerful sorceress Of Oz, ruler of Quadling country,
South Of the Emerald City and protector of Princess Ozma. Which is the version in the
Original flim. (Not sure if the new version changes anything but I do love the glow and
Radiance on her skin in this picture!)
Love her short pixie haircut! =D

Anyway, today is my first makeup tutorial ^_^ ( Do forgive me if it's not done properly.)
Putting the movie aside, today main focus is of course makeup. And with that I'm going to
use the palette (prized possession) that I've got. (Was actually a gift from friend ^^)
Urban Decay The Great Oz Limited Edition Eyeshadow Palette. Love the packaging.. such
   dreamy color! ^_^

Even the names of all the colors are so magical! =D
Besides eyeshadows, the palette also includes a purple eyeliner (their best seller) and a lipgloss.
The whole pacakaging inside with a postcard of Michelle Williams posing as Glinda. Would be
great if it comes along with her signature on it! XD
The back of the postcard is a color face chart that teaches you how to use the colors and get the
    "Glinda" look. ^_^
The actual color of the lipgloss. The texture is more like a glossy & moisturising lipstick.
Such gorgeous and pretty colors aren't they!!??? =D

One of their best seller Glide on eyeliner in Rockstar.

Step 1: Prep the eye area with a eye primer. Personally I love the eye primer from MaryKay. Its
easy to apply and it also helps your eyeshadow to stay on longer and better by bringing out the
intensity of the colors and also prevents from smudging.

Dab the eye primer on the whole eye area.

Step 2: Take the color Aura (violet iridescent) and apply along the browbone.

Step 3: Take the color Illusion and apply onto the eye socket area, blending up into the crease.

Step 4: Take the color South and apply onto the upper lid and blend it well.

Step 5: Take Aura (Rose Iridescent) and trace along the inner corners and outer 1/3 of lower
the lower lashline. (Use a smaller brush for this step)
Step 6: Line the eyes with the Glide-on eye pencil In Rockstar.
Step 7: Take the color Tornado and apply onto the upper lids and lower lashline on top of the
    eyeliner and smudge it in.
Step 8: Take the color Magic and smudge along the lower lashline, fusing it with the Tornado and
    Aura.

Step 9: Curl your lashes and apply mascara or fake lashes (Up to personal preferences). For
mascara I'm currently using this volumizing mascara from 1028 台塆小凯老师 brand. It really
helps define and seperate your lashes and gives the volumizing and curl effect. I'm gonna get the
lengthening one and will review in another article. ^_^
    Viola! The completed look! Phew!
Its really not that hard at all actually once you know your eyes shape well and what sort of colors
suits you. This is just one of the look that you can create with this palette. If you ever have this
palette, do play around with the colors. Afterall, makeup is all about having fun. Right? ;)

Hope you all enjoyed today's little tutorial. ^^

    Have a great weekend!

More photos and close up view of the colors in the palette. Couldn't resist taking more pics of it.

[Skincare Sharing & Product Review] ♥ Japan Luxury Beauty Brand Albion ♥

Albion skincare range is such a comfort to use!

Hmm..not sure if anyone of you still remember that previously I posted on my
Facebook somewhere beginning of the year I think..(cannot remember..senile le.. =P)
that I won a skincare products range worth $305 from taking part in a magazine
promotion. Well, this is it (Thank you Cosmopolitian! ^_^)

First of all honestly, I had never heard of this brand before and tell you all a funny thing
here. I first heard about this brand was actually through a ex-colleauge of mine. That time
she had resigned and we kinda lost touch abit here and there. When I realised she was still in
the beauty industry, so naturally I asked her what brand or company she's working for. And
she replied say Albion. ( And I had no idea what brand is that and what she talking about XD)
That was when I met up with her at her brother wedding while doing makeup for her mother.
(All this happened last year 2012)

And then when I was informed earlier this year that I won for myself a skincare range from a
magazine promotion (which I cannot remember at all... XD) I was thrilled. So I went down all
the way to Concorde, their head office to collect my prizes. When I reached home, I open up the
package to take a good look at the products. I look at the brand.. Hmm..never heard of it leh..I
said to myself but the name sounds so familliar so I put it aside first. It took me days later on to
realised that this could be the brand my ex colleauge was working for! So after my confirmation
from her, yes is the answer. ( Really getting old with the poor memory and slow reaction..XP)

So before I started using it, I went on to do a little digging and research on the brand.

Established in March 2 1956, starting their business in Ginza 1-6 in May with a vision to
be "The world's leading luxury cosmetics manufacturer"  5 skincare items were released.
Soon, over the years they began setting up business all around Tokyo Japan. Beauty salons,
and even an education center. Releasing their top best seller "Skin Conditioner" In 1974.

The products that I won were the skin conditioner, Exage pure mild wash, Exage moist
crystal milk 1,Exage moist serum mist and a dreamy chiffon face primer.

Not quite knowing how to use it, I went online and did a little research again. XD. They
have this skincare system called "4-steps".

  1) Cleansing- Remove makeup and skin impurities to leave skin clean and fresh.
  2) Softening- To create right moisture balance in skin corneal layer leaving it supple.
  3) Balancing- Firms and condition skin to give a dewy fine texture.
  4) Active Care- To get healthy glowing skin.

When I first saw the size of the cleansing wash, I have to admit that I was kinda..sad..such
a small bottle. It probably won't even last me more than a month! But after I started using it,
I finally understood why the small bottle size. =P

It comes in a fine, milky texture when poured out.

Once lathered with water, it becomes a rich milky foam that feels wonderful when it touches
your face. So each time, a few little droplets of it will be enough to wash the entire face. I didn't
know that the first time so in the end, the foam was quite alot. But I still used whatever amount I
poured on my whole face.. Better than waste it, right? ;) My skin feels clean and fresh with no
tightness, unlike some other types of washing foam that makes your skin feels dry and tight.

After cleansing, by right should apply toner right? But for Albion, by left is to apply the moist
crytsal milk first. This is to balance the skin moisture and softening and to prep the skin for the
rest of the skincare regime later on. It was supposed to be used with their cotton pads (which I
think they do sell it but not sure how much though)

Using a normal cotton pad from Watsons, pump 3 pumps onto the pad. (But I only uses 2 pumps
for my whole face.)  3 pumps very fast finish de.. =(

This is the aftermath of the cotton pad.. gosh..it looks so dirty.. so does it means that I have been
sleeping and living with all these dirt on my face the whole time?? @_@ I realised that the
Watsons cotton pads tend to leave streaks of cotton on face after using it.. not very comfortable.
so I found another type of cotton pads thats comfortable to use and a cheaper version.
    From Daiso $2 per box.

My skin feels much more supple and clean after the moist crystal milk. ^_^

Next is the skin conditioner (Best seller) It has a nice soothing scent thats makes me feel very
comfortable to use and being "Essential" and labelled "药用" medicated, means that it will not
causes irritation or sensitivity. ^_^ Suitable for all skin types. One of the best toner I've used so far.

After the conditioner, next is their serum. For their serum, it comes in a spray bottle packaging thats
so much more easier and convinent to use and good for bringing along when travelling with its
small bottle size. Hold the spray about 10-15cm away from face. close your eyes and spray. It also
has a nice soothing scent that feels comfortable ( I cannot stand weird yucky smell XD) After that,
pat in the remaining serum on your face into the skin. After that you can continue with your cream
   eyecare etc.

Overall, I quite like this range alot. As the ones that i'm using is Exage (For smooth moisturized
skin) which is excellent for me as I sleep in air-conditioned room every night. (Singapore too hot
to survive without air con la..XD) thus, I need to replenish or mantain my skin moisture balance.
They have other range like whitening, lifting & firming etc..so do visit their beauty counter
at Orchard Takashimaya Level one for more information on the products.

Hope you all enjoyed today little sharing & review.

May everyone have a great weekend! ^_^

PS: I have not used the face primer yet but i'm sure it will be as good as the skincare range and
makes my face feel soft and smooth like chiffon cake. XD (Just kidding!)
