[Makeup Tutorial] Soft Burgandy Rose~For Spring x Etude House Play Color Eyes Collection

Hi everyone! How is everyone doing so far on their Saturday? =D Staying at home or hanging out in  air conditioned shopping centres? Hot weather isn't it? @_@ Haze plus the blazing hot sun.. all of you must drink more water ok?

Haven't done tutorial for quite some time already.. (^^)" but then again, I did promise to share some of my recent newly purchase products and toys right? =P so here it is.

Etude House Play Color Eyes collection. This limited edition series was launched during February for Valentine's Day. To be honest, among so many Korean brands, I always ended up purchasing the most items from Etude House. Not only has their packaging always attracted me but also because of the quality of some of their products. I love to collect limited edition items. So whenever they launched any limited edition series, I always ended up buying almost the entire range. =P

Play Color Eyes #2 So Chic Play (Limited)

Play Color Eyes #1 So Hot Play (Limited)

Today I'll be using this two palettes to create a soft burgundy shade that's suitable for daily wear or special occasion or party. =) Lets Start!

1) Prep face with primer after your sunscreen. I'm using Albion chiffon primer here.

Done! =)

2) Spread and apply foundation or BB cream all over face. Here I'm using BB cream and CC cream and mixing them together to create a brighter shade for my skin tone. =)

Proportion is 2:1 (BB cream 2, CC cream 1) But you can roughly estimate. Don't have to be so precise.

Mixed them together and apply all over face.

Done! =)

2) Prep your eyes with eye primer.

3) Take the shade "naked" from palette #1 and apply over the entire eyelid all the way up to your socket area.

4) Take the shade "Sparkling Wine" from palette #2 and apply at the outer corner of the eyes blending inwards.

5) Using a smaller blending brush, take the shade "Temptation" from palette #1 and apply in small amount at the outer edge of the eye area, gently blending inwards in small circles motion and defining your socket area at the same time. So far so good? =D

6) Using your finger, take the shade "Party Gold" from palette #1 and gently tap on the middle of your eye area close to your upper lashline.

7) Take the shade "Snow Queen" from palette #1 and highlight the brow bone.

8) Using a small stiffer brush, take the shade "Pop Champagne" from palette #2 and apply underneath your lower lashline area to highlight and define your eyes.

9) Draw in your eyeliner. Here I'm using Etude House brown gel eyeliner to go for a softer look. You can go for black too to achieve more define eyes. Draw in your eyebrows and apply mascara or false lashes. I decided to go for false lashes to achieve a more defined look. =P

With and without lashes.. XD

For the lips I will be using these two products to achieve a soft natural ombre lips effect. ;)

10) Apply the Revlon lipstick all over your lips. Before this step, you may also tap some concealer or foundation on your lips first to conceal any unevenness or obvious lines.

11) Squeeze some of the Rosy lip tint onto a lip brush and apply at the inner part of both upper and lower lips. Spread out well. =)

Voila! Done! =D It may seems really difficult to achieve but actually its not that hard.. ;) the key point here is to create a soft natural and rosy lips and focusing and defining more on the eyes. As this is a red and pink tone makeup, you wouldn't want too many redness on your face (otherwise will look like an monkey ass LOL.. XD) Ok..sorry..that was a joke. so in this case, I skipped blusher and opt for highlighter on my T-zone, and both upper cheeks bones to achieve a more glow and dewy effect. if you really want to use blusher can opt for a very light pink shade and don't be too heavy handed! Its always more easy to add on than to take off.

A lot of gals are afraid of burgundy shades as they tend to look very heavy and dark in colour and more related to gothic makeup. Thus I have came up with this softer version that's suitable for daily wear or even parties or special occasion.

Hope you all enjoy today little tutorial and Happy International Women's Day to all gorgeous ladies out there! =D Remember a smile is the key to great confidence and beauty so may everyone be happy always! (^3^)

[Product Review & Makeup Tutorial] Achieve Holiday Party Look x Innisfree Natural Benefit From Jeju Island

A big hello to everyone!! =D how is everyone holiday coming along so far? ;)

Big big apologies to everyone as I have not log in and blog for months.. >///< was really super super
Super duper busy with work. And now finally have the chance to have a little R&R. ^_^ and can
Finally spend some quiet time for Xmas. Yay!! Xmas is finally here! It is always my favourite time
Of the year with lots of gathering with friends and family, presents exchange and of course the
Weather.. Omg.. it has been so cooling and cosy these past few weeks that I would literally drag
Myself out of bed to go to work in the morning... =__= zzz  (Dozing off.....)

Ok. Anyway.. (fully awake now. XD) I'm sure that during this time of the year, all of you will have Many parties and gathering to attend am I right? ;) and for ladies out there, I guess the most vexing Part besides thinking of what to wear, it would be what makeup look to put on. You want to look Glamorous but not too overdone and still look natural. So today I will be teaching a real simple Makeup look that you can wear easily for any parties during this holiday season.

Products used today will be from Innisfree. Yes! you heard me. Korea number 1 natural cosmetic
And skincare brand with natural energy from Jeju island is finally here in Singapore!!! =D
Launched in November this year with their first outlet store right in the heart of Orchard.
Ambassador will of course none other than Korea actor Lee Min Ho. (Love his acting and dramas..
   ^^)

These are the products that I bought. Damage done: $100++ (can't remember the exact amount..
   >///<)

    Ok. Let's get started!

1st. Prep your skin with primer. (Remember, this should be done after your sunscreen. ^o~)

2nd. Spread foundation evenly all over your face. ( You can either use your fingers or sponge to
Blend. I personally prefer to use a brush.) After this, do all your necessary concealing.

3rd. Set the foundation with loose powder. I am so in love with this no-sebum mineral powder
Infused with natural originated mint that has a tint slight cooling feel when you apply it and the
Finishing is a smooth and matte finish. Focus more on T-zone and side of the nose where its
Always the part that is most oily.

And the base makeup is done! =)

After drawing in your eyebrows, we shall move in straight to the eyes. These are the eye products
  That we will be using.

  Mineral Eyeshadow in n.o 23, 08 and 09.

4th. Apply the light shade (23) on the entire eyelid area as a base.

5th. Apply shade (08) on the crease area as close to the lashline as possible. For single eyelids like
Me can draw till up to about 5mm height.

6th, Using shade (09), gently apply at the inner corner as if you are blocking the eye area.

7th. Again using shade (09) apply at the outer corner of the eye area this time and gently blend
Inwards. Don't forget the under eye area too! ^^

8th. For a little touch of glamour =P and to accentuate and brighten up the eye makeup, I added a
Bit of gold shimmer eyeshadow on the centre of the eyelid.

9th. Using the waterproof gel eyeliner pencil, gently draw and fill in the gap between the lashes at
    Your upper waterline.

10th. To enhance the eye makeup and to create a more defined and sexy cat eye look. =P winged
Out your upper eyeliner and draw in the lower waterline. (To create a slightly more softer look,
When drawing the upper eyeliner, follow the natural shape of your eyes instead of creating a
   Upwards flick.)

11th. Add in false lashes or a mascara (depending on personal preference. I personally prefer to use
False lashes to make my eyes slightly more bigger. XD)

And there you have it! A simple evening look that's great for any parties or gathering this holiday
   Season.

I am totally loving Innisfree range of cosmetics. Not only are they affordable, they all contains
Mineral and organic ingredients all the way from Jeju island that's great and less harmful on the
Skin. I have not tried their skincare products yet though but I figured its time to change my skincare
Range again. XD ( I have been trying to find a effective whitening day moisturiser but not sure
Which brand is good. >///< recommendations anyone??)

Hope you all enjoyed today little tutorial.

  Happy Holidays everyone!! ^o~
