    Today topic is about infusing energy into our skin. XD

 

    But first of all, a super big apology to everyone. It has been almost a month since my last blog

    Update... >/////<  Lately has really just been busy working working and nothing but working.. Thus

    Hasn't got much time to write articles. Today article is suppose to be in by a few weeks ago but

    Was so busy and tired from work by the time I reach home. Thus, this article came late. But still

   Physically and mentally especially from the kind of stress we face everyday. Work, family, human 

   Relationship. Thus, whenever we had the chance we would try to get away from all these, perharps

   Go for a little holiday to relax and recharge ourselves and come back to take on even bigger

   Challenges in life and work. Even our smart devices like phones and tablets need to be charge when

   They are low battery so all the more for human beings right? =P

 

   However, what about infusing energy into our skin? Hmm... Since when did we started treating our

   Skin like phone devices? XP LOL.. Of course we are not going to plug a wire into our skin. I'm

   Talking about skincare of course. Earlier last month, I had the extreme honour to be invited to

   Sothys Paris LifeLine (Fil De Vie) Energizing Line launch event held at Hyatt Hotel.

  

The entire atmosphere and setup were grand and very relaxing. However that day I wasn't in my best Attire as I was not feeling really well. >///<

We were also served with champagne, pastries and finger foods. But I forgot to took some photos. =P Sorry about that everyone!

 

Each invited guest were also given a doorgift. Very kind and generous of them, Thank You Sothys Paris! ^_^

The event began with a slideshow presentation on Sothys research and how the Energizing skincare

Line developed and came about.

There were also testers available on each table for us to tried out. Basically there are only two series. A night cream and a day cream. For the day cream, there are two different texture. Light and comfort.

 

Starting from the top is the light version. Middle one is comfort (For dry skin) and the one below is the Night cream.

 

This is after blending out the night cream and the comfort version day cream. It doesn't feel sticky on the skin and the comfort version absorb pretty well into the skin.

 

 

Can see that my hand feels more hydrated and I felt that its more refreshed and energized.

 

 

In a joint collaboration with Ovio Pte Ltd to boost and promote a healthier lifestyle, fight against fatigue and regular exercise to healthy skin. Time for unwrapping presents!! =D Sothys were very generous to gave away a shawl, a full size Night cream and two sets of travel size day and night cream. And the pouch just so happen to be my favourite colour pink!! ^_^

This is the how the night cream looks like and the texture is. Though is thick but yet it doesn't felt too Rich or sticky and would have even better results when including some massaging technique when Applying.

 

After applying, can see that my left hand looks more youthful and radiant. Spots and wrinkles are less Obvious compare to my right hand below which looks dull and spotted with lines and dark spots. =(

 

Love their pretty logo at the top of the jar cap. ^^ Very elegant. So far I haven't started using it yet as my existing night cream is still unfinished but I believe that I would definitely love this not only because it looks promising but also because the results are pretty obvious with the experiment on my hand just now and I do need it quite badly too as I'm always busy with work, working late, tired easily so I could definitely use some energy for my skin. XD

[Skincare & Product Review] Get Firm, V-Shape Face With Bio-essence Face Lifting Cream

 

Did you all got a shock?? XD

 

Haha this was actually the old me. I was going through some of my old photos the other day and I found this among all my other photos. if I'm not wrong I think this was taken like... 3, 4 years ago...? =X I look young no doubt but gosh...my face was so fat and chubby... @_@

 

I believe that all women and gals out there are like me.. when we are young, we probably think that we have all the time in the world and the youth to waste thus we never really gave much thought about anti-aging and how to fight against gravity. XD

 

Personally for me, I didn't started using anti aging skincare until I was about 25? (Ops...accidentally revealed my age! >/////<) and that was the proper age that they said can start using anti aging at that time. But honestly nowadays with our environment, UV rays, lifestyle, work and stress, its not consider early at all to start using anti aging at even 22 or 23 years old! Yes, some of you are surprised but believe me...its not..

 

I have always wanted and hoping to get a more slimmer and V-shape face (even though people always said I have my mother sharp chin and jawline. =P ) and I have tried controlling my diet and getting those face massager from beauty shops and even Daiso but somehow it just doesn't works. However, I have found that using the correct skincare product is probably one of the slightly more effective way and yes I have found that one product. =)

 

 

Bio-essence Face Lifting Cream.

 

This is the latest improved formula and version. I have not tried the old version before thus I can't really make a comparison. Consisting of Royal Jelly and ATP their two main ingredients, It is said to give you a even more V-Shape and slimmer face with lifting effect. Sounds and look promising doesn't it? ;)

 

Royal Jelly - Nourish and improve skin radiance. With anti bacterial and disinfection function to disinfect pimples and even acne skin.

ATP - Enhances skin renewal and revitalize the skin.

Recommended by Taiwan most popular variety show Nu Ren Wo Zui Da, this new version is said to give you a even more firm and lifted face! It come together with a measuring tape for you to observe and measure your face for any changes but honestly I don't really quite know how to use it. XD But I do like the translucent blue bottle and packaging, gives a soothing and calm effect. =)

Again comes with a protective seal to prevent contamination.

Texture wise I would say though its rich but when applied evenly on face overall its still quite ok and it doesn't really leaves a sticky or oily feeling on the skin. =) Smell wise it has a slightly minty smell and when applied it has a slightly minty and cooling feeling on the face. Usually when I apply I would use roughly about this pea size amount. Not just for face but neck as well. Yes, a lot of us tend to neglect the neck when using skincare yet its the most important part as well as this is area where first signs of aging shows too.

To ensure that its applied evenly, I would place 5 dots mainly on my forehead, nose bridge, chin and both cheeks area. Neck area I would place about 2 dots.

Starting from the neck, using both hands, I would swept in a upwards motion. Then moving onto the cheeks, I would spread and swept in a upwards and outwards motion. After that for forehead would also be in a upwards motion then sweeping down the nose bridge and for chin I would just massage in a circular motion. All these of course are done in a gentle motion and force. Don't ever treat your face roughly! its the only one we got! =P

You can use it both day and night time but personally for me I used it for night time. For night I would normally prefer something that's hydrating, nourishing, lifting and repairing the skin. Day time I would be using mostly whitening, brightening or revitalizing products. ^_^

              

 



 My before and after with a 3 weeks difference. Before using my face is still consider skinny (very "thick" skin right? =P) but can see that both my cheeks area are quite chubby (but not cute ok? XD) and seems to be sagging downwards... @_@ After using, I won't dare to say that my face slim a lot but can see that my chin and jawline are more sharp and define and the "chubbiness" of my cheeks are being "moved" upwards. Pores are also more refine and smooth. XD. So happy with the results!! ^_^

Besides the slimming effect, I can also feel my face has become more firm and lifted and my skin definitely has become more elasticity. My skin also feels more nourished and fresh every morning I woke up.

Overall, I'm happy and satisfied with the results. Pricing wise is also at affordable prices and this is definitely a product that I will replenish again once I finish. ^_^

[Product Review] Get a smooth flawless base in secs. Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion Foundation Compact

Today topic is about getting a smooth and radiant base makeup in just 30seconds.. XD

 

Now I know all of you must be thinking "How is this possible!!??" For a normal makeup base,

There's sunscreen, primer, foundation, concealer, loose powder....Zzzz..by the time you finish
Your base makeup, you would probably have already be late for work or your date and that's

Of course in my line of work, the above steps are definitely correct and are deem necessary.
But with the invention of new cosmetics products nowadays, putting on our base makeup and
yet achieving a smooth, radiant look has never been much easier.

Honestly speaking, I wasn't quite interested in this in the first place.. I had my own BB cream

So one fine day I just went into the Orchard Wisma outlet thinking of browsing around and just

She helped me to find the right shade and letting me tried out on the back of my hand. I felt that the

Texture was pretty amazing so I decided to bought one to try it out and didn't regret my action since

Quite a sucker when it comes to product packaging. XD) The packaging from the box to the compact

Already had my name splashed all over it by being in pink.(My favourite colour ^^) And the design wise is so dreamy and princess like.

 

The thoughtfulness and practicality part is also there. When open up, the powder puff is on top to
prevent contamination. The density of the puff is design in a way to pick up the foundation much
More easier without absorbing in the foundation like other normal sponge or puff. Thus, we will get Whatever amount that we picked up. A lot of people dislike using sponge or puff is because of this Reason. However, not in the case with this special puff.^^

 

Underneath below is the cushion pad. ^_^

 

Unlike normal powder compact, the method use here is quite different. Using the puff, Press gently

Onto to the cushion pad and you will get your foundation onto the sponge.

 

Instead of applying in strokes and rubbing, simply just pat, pat, pat on the skin! =D If you have area where you require more coverage, just press on the cushion a few more times. Even if were to press down real hard, the amount of foundation will never be too much like bottle foundation whereby we sometimes accidentally pump too much. Thus, with this cushion pad, there won't be any wastage and we can save more on the foundation. XD

 

Available in 2 shades, #W13 Natural Beige and #W14 Honey Beige. I got the one in #W13 as its the closest to my skin tone.

 

It blend into the skin extremely well with no stickiness and the result is a smooth flawless finish. =D

 

Here I only applied a layer of face primer and I just applied on the cushion foundation compact.

It gives a smooth and radiant finish with a certain dewy glow on the skin. ^_^ Coverage wise I would Say its a light to medium coverage. Area where you think you need more coverage like acne scars, Uneven skin tone can pat on a bit more of the foundation and yes even dark under eye circles can be conceal too! =D (Finally found a foundation that can conceal my dark eye circles without the cakiness underneath my eyes.!)

 

Beside the lovely packaging, it also has a nice soothing floral like scent when you are applying the foundation. ^^

 

Unlike bottle or tube foundation or BB cream, the compact size and design fits well into cosmetic pouch or our handbags and makes touching up so much more easier with the fit in mirror too! ^^

 

 

You can leave it as it is after applying to achieve a radiant and dewy finish or you can apply a light Layer of loose powder over it to set the whole makeup for a matte finish. Personally for me I would Only applied a light layer of loose powder down the centre of my face to set the look as I'm combination skin type.

 

Overall, I really like this product a lot. The whitening function has not only brighten up my skin but Also even out my skin tone with a radiant finish. The sebum control also means that I can blot lesser On my T-zone area and lesser touch up yet the moisture function will not dry up my cheek area and the rest of my face. The best part is it also sells the refill separately! and I will definitely go stock up On it once I finish the existing one! (Besides, now Etude House are having promotions! Yay! Time to Go cosmetic looting again! XD)

[Skincare Sharing & Product Review] Hydrate, hydrate & more hydrate! Let your skin drink more water with Bio-Essence Aqua Droplet Sleeping Beauty Mask!!

Recently, I have discovered one more secret to younger looking skin........

Ok. Back to earth. Hmm.. no... its not some hundred dollars serum or potion nor is it something difficult And complicated to use. In fact, the keyword we are going to talk about today here is: Hydration

Simple. Isn't it? But when we talk about hydration here, it's not just gulping down that 8
Glasses of water everyday. That is more for the body hydration (which is something equally
Important as well.) But what about the skin? Yes, you heard me right. Our skin needs to drink
Water too!

And with this, a lot of people seems to have the idea or impression that by drinking at least
8 glasses of water everyday, our skin will naturally stay hydrated. In a way right and wrong.
But as we drink down that glass of water, it will first of all naturally be absorbed by our body
System and organs, such as liver, kidneys and our blood stream. And I would say that the
Amount of water that reaches our skin dermis and epidermis layers are in fact quite little.
Now I'm no doctor here but it all does seems to make a little bit of sense here doesn't it? ;)

So in fact, the best and quickest way to let our skin drink water and stay hydrated is simply by applying!

And with this, I have discovered one product that day by day and when you woke up in the
Morning, your skin stays well hydrated.

The new Bio-essence Aqua Droplet Sleeping Mask.

Now before I move on, I know most of you would probably be rolling your eyes...by now.. XD
Thinking "Another sleeping mask..?" Yes.. another sleeping mask.. But honestly having tried so
Many different type of sleeping mask, this is unlike anything I have ever seen before. So hear me
Out first ok? =P

Honestly, when I first saw this on the shelf at Watsons, I was excited at first. "Yay! another new Product!" but after awhile, I hesitate.. should I give this a try? I still have one more at home not finish yet.. (I'll explain the reason later why I stopped using that.. besides being lazy at times.. XD) Nevertheless, I bought it.



 When I reached home, I immediately open it up. It comes with a protective seal to
 Prevent contamination.

White in colour it was inside.. looks a bit thick and rich to me. I thought.. so I scoop a pea size of the Product and tried it out on the back of my hand. From the moment my fingers touched the white paste And applying it on my hand, I was immediately sold. Here's why:

The white "paste" was the most light and feathery texture I have ever felt. It wasn't thick and rich

At all as I thought. So I applied on the back of my hand.

Within 3 seconds upon spreading, it immediately break into water droplets! At that moment

I was so amazed by it! I have never seen nor used sleeping mask that form into water droplets before.

 

I gave my hand a gentle pat and within about 5 to 8 seconds, it was fully absorbed into the skin

With no sticky feeling. (Compare to the famous Korea sleeping mask, you all should know which

One right? =/ when I used that and woke up in the morning, I felt like my skin had one layer of oil on It. =X)

Simply amazed by this new "technology" I did a little research on it.

The main three key ingredients that forms this wonderful product are:

 

1) Power nano hyaluronic acid

-Nano sized hyaluronic acid, provides instant hydration with moisture retention capability.

2) Hyaluronic acid
-To lock in moisture by forming large water network

3) Cranberry extract
-Nourish and protect skin from UV damage and harmful free environment radicals.

With the 2 different type of hyaluronic acid (My favourite key ingredient =P) it offer up to
3 times more hydration than before. And the water droplet technology is actually called
"Bio Aqua Crystal Technology" meaning upon application, the capsules of the Bio aqua crystals
Will break into water droplets to rapidly penetrate into the skin to hydrate it and leave a thin layer
Of protective emollient film on the surface to lock in the moisture. ^_^ No wonder it absorb so fast
And so amazing!

Skin is much more hydrated and supple after applying. ^_^

 

I started to used this almost every night after my daily beauty routine. I applied it after my moisturiser

And just go to bed with it. When I woke up in the morning the first time I used it, I immediately felt the Difference. My face does not have the "oiliness" feeling and when I looked into the mirror, I can
See and felt that my skin becomes less drying (I zzz in air con room every night =P)

I have been using it for about less than 3 weeks. Yet each morning when I woke up, I simply love

How my skin look and feels. It feels more hydrated and supple and there seems to be a certain glow
In my skin too. When our skin gets hydrated and plump, our skin will also tends to look younger too. I also love the fact that its not oily and does not leave a sticky feeling behind.

Also another amazing thing I realised and to share with you all is: Have you all ever had
The experience whereby in the morning you wake up and want to quickly put on makeup and get out
Of the house asap for work? Especially when applying foundation/BB cream yet somehow it seems To take Forever to blend in well. ( Yes, we have bad hair days and bad skin days as well..=) )

Useful Tip: Try applying a light thin layer of this mask as a moisturiser before putting on your primer or Foundation and you will realise that your foundation is much easier to apply and blend and most Important, your foundation will stay on better and more long lasting.

In overall, I love this product very much and I'm still not even halfway through my first tub yet but
I can already see myself going back to buy again for the second and probably even third tub after my
First one is finish. And pricing wise is definitely so much more affordable. ^^
