[DIY Sharing] Nail Art Pink Graffiti Glamour x Funky

 

    How was everyone weekend last week? Did you all had a great one? ^_^

    Weekend nowadays are so precious to me as it's the only time that I can have some personal
    Time to myself or spending quality time with my family. Usually I'll either be at home doing
    My stuff, trying to write more articles for you all or simply just spending time with my family
    Even though it's more like slacking at home. XD Either that or I'll be working at photo shoots
    Or other makeup assignments.

    By the way I recently had my hair cut and dyed so this is not really my most updated recent
    Photo but I can assure that there isn't much changes in me at all. =P

   Another thing that I like to do during the weekend will be to do manicure and/or pedicure. (If
   I'm not too lazy or if I have some inspiration. =P) Yes for everything I do inspiration is very
   Important to me. Whether it's designing makeup looks or doing my nails. So today will be
   Another nail art tutorial. A real simple, quick and easy to complete design. =) Here we go:

Step 1: Remove excess oil, dirt on your nails by gently cleaning your nails bed

           With a cotton pad soak with nail polish remover. Paint a layer of clear base coat over.

Step 2: Paint a thin layer of the nail polish (Color of your choice)

Step 3: Paint a second layer over after the first coat has dried.

(Small interruption here: Recently I have discovered a very good nail product which dry your nails Slightly faster which is none other than Quick dry drop. Perharp some of you have heard before or all Along has been using it but personally when I do my own nails I had never used before. It was my Sister who bought one from Etude House and has been using it whenever she paint her nails. Thus, One day I decided to give it a try. And somehow it works, it makes your layer of nail polish dry Slightly faster. After painting the first layer, you can drip a drop of the quick dry coat over before Painting the second layer.)

Step 4: Once all your nails are painted with 2 coats of your desire nail colour, You can now start to do the art part.

 

Step 5: For my middle and forth finger, I'm using the black cracking top coat which I just painted it
            Over and the black and white shattering bits top coat and below is how it looks like. ^^

 

 

 

Simply just love the effect. Ain't it pretty? ^^

Step 6: For my pinkie and index finger, simply just use nail art pen and place little black dots on top.
            You can design and place them in any way you want or prefer. You can also use a toothpick
            Or a dotting tool which I have recommended before in my other nail articles.

 

Step 7: For my thumb, I painted a layer of sliver glitter nail polish over and once dried, paint a Layer of top coat over and place the pearls or any 3D ornaments of your own choice on top before the Top coat dry up. Paint the top coat over your other fingers as well.

And....Done! Simple? Quick? Easy? =D Very suitable for casual weekend out, parties or even
For work/office.

 

 

I myself really love this design as its not only quick and easy to achieve but its also very me. LOL.. XD (I have always love the colour combination of Back & Pink.)  Nowadays many nail polish brands have come up with nail polish that are glittery, with beads, crystals, and even caviar beads! So now designing and doing our own nails has become so much easy and fun! All the nail polish that I used in this tutorial are from The Face Shop. Top coat was from Etude House. Right now The Face Shop has launched lots of new colors and even gel nail polish which is the one I'm using here and Etude House are having a buy 1 get 1 free nail polish promotion so quickly go get them now while stock last! =P  Whereas for me, I really have to stop buying nail polish for a long time now or at least wait till my old ones are finished or dry up as I have one whole basket of nail colors and running out of space to store. >///<

[DIY Sharing] Nail Art Design~Summer Fun x Etude House Sweet Recipe Ice Cream Nail Polish

Summer is really the time to get colourful!!

Lately I have been having so much fun with my fingers... XP (I mean nails..don't get the wrong idea.)
As some of you probably know by now.. that I'm more of a DIY hands on person. So therefore, I don't really or hardly in fact visit nails salon. So today will be another DIY sharing session. =P

And what's better to welcome Summer but having sweet and colourful nails? ;) Ever since Etude House launched their Sweet Recipe collection, I was so excited by it! Especially the nail polishes. Not only are they new colours but also new bottle packaging. In the Shape of a ice cream cone!
(Makes you really feel like licking it especially when it's hot weather! XD)

The colours are all sweet macaroons colours. Launched in many different colours, there were 4 special colours with glitter and the rest are plain colours.

However, I only managed to get 3 of the glitter colours. The other nude glitter was not available in
Singapore. =(

So let's get started. =)

Style 1: Glamorous Summer
Things To Prepared:

Etude House Sweet Recipe Ice Cream Nail Polishes.

Clear Base & Top Coat. For top coat, I've chosen Gel topcoat by Dior to gives a gelish effect and
Finishes.

Nail ornaments décor. For this style I've chosen the crystal nail stickers.

Step 1:

Paint on clear base coat.

Step 2:

Paint on different colours for all fingers.

Step 3:
Just simply remove the nail stickers from the plastic foil and pasted them on wherever and how you
Want it to be! It's just that easy! =D

Voila! Done! ^^

Great for when attending parties and wedding. Real quick and easy too! ;)

Style 2: Wild & Chic
Same things to prepared as above.

Step 1:

Paint on clear base coat.

Step 2:

Paint on a selected base colour of your choice. Apply 2 coats, letting it dry in between the 2 layers.
Place random dots of another nail polish colour on top.

Step 3:

Using black colour, ( You may also chose other colours of your own choice, depending on preference
And the overall effect you want it to be.) With a nail art brush/dotting tool/ A toothpick, paint the
Black colour around the dots.

And there you go! A leopard print effect is created! =D Don't forget to apply the topcoat once it's dry.

You can do the same thing with the other fingers using different colours combination or paint the rest
Of your fingers in random different colours (Depends on how you want the effect to be.)

Polka dots for my pinkie. Can simply just use a dotting tool or toothpick and dot randomly onto your
Nail. =)

The completed look on both hands. =)

I had fun trying out on my feet too! ^^

[ DIY Sharing ] Nail Art Design Crown X Ribbon Sweet Princess Glamour

   Good Morning everyone! Its the first day of the Lunar New Year so here's wishing everyone a Happy New Year and may you all be blessed and have a prosperity snake year! =D

  Wow..Can't believe another year had just passed and a new year has arrived. Hope everyone is having a great time! As for me, it was pretty tiring for me days before the eve.. the preparation.. helping my mum out.. going to the market with her.. it was kinda hectic but luckily for me i survived. XD

  Still, despite my busy schedule I finally managed to find time to do my nails for CNY. Ok, another secret here i have to confess.. ( so many secrets haha..but i'm not a mysterious person =P) I had never/seldom get my nails done in a nail salon! Yes..i know..amazing right..? XD Personally I find that there are pros and cons of getting nails done in a salon..of course you will be more relaxing..being pampered and treated like a queen..but the cons is that you have to call and make appointment (Especially peak period like CNY) you have to specially get dressed and travel all the way to the place.

 Personally for me, I like to DIY. So today I'm gonna show the steps to completing the nail design on my hands. =) Here goes:

 1) Prepare these following items:
-Nail polish (color of own choice)
-Nail glitter polish
-Base & Top Coat
-Tweezers
-Nail dryer
-Nail Glue (For sticking nail ornaments)
-French manicure guide stickers
-Nail dotting tool ( If don't have, toothpick will do just fine)
-Black nail art pen ( Because i ran out of black nail polish =P)
-Nail polish remover ( For standby to remove any unsightly nail polish at the side of fingers)

                                            

1) Apply clear base coat and let dry.

2) Place the french manicure sticker guide onto the cuticle bed.

3) Paint 2 coats of the main nail polish color. Let dry in between the 2 coats.

4) When the polish are totally dried, peel away the french manicure stickers and it will look like this. Apply top coat.

                                                   
5) Placed pearls or glitters along the edge.

 

6) Using the dotting tool/toothpick/nail art pen, place polka dots in a random manner.

 

7) Apply glitter strips along the rows of polka dots. (You can also skip this step and leave the polka dots the way they are.. according to personal preferences but for me i like a touch of glittery glam. XD)

  8) Place the 3D ornaments of your own choices. ( Depends on how you want your overall design to be.)

 



 9) Voila! The completed design. ^_^

 

    

 

   

 

 

  The completed look on both hands. It's really up to how you want it to be..a very glam and 3D look or very subtle. Anyway nail art is all about experimenting and having fun.
